European Marine Board

Description

The European Marine Board (EMB) is the leading European think tank in marine science policy. It provides a platform to advance marine research and to bridge the gap between science and policy. EMB engages in several foresight activities by establishing working groups; producing strategic foresight papers; organizing forums and conferences and by participating in EU projects. We identify emerging scientific and societal challenges and opportunities and articulate the research and capacities needed to address them. This results in a series of high quality peer-reviewed publications. EMB’s artist-in-residence programme ‘EMBracing the Ocean’ provides grants for creative individuals or groups to co-create work with Ocean scientists.
